Style Essentials: Jeans

Happy Sunday friends!

I truly believe that finding the perfect jeans are something that everyone struggles with. It has taken me 21 years to find jeans that I can definitively say are THE BEST.

I have two specific fits, from two different stores that I think could work for everyone and for any situation or occasion!

Gap True Skinny Jeans in 360 Stretch $56.00 – $69.99 (Current Sale Price)

These jeans are a recent find of mine and I absolutely LOVE them. The slogan for these jeans is “All around amazing. This premium denim moves everywhere you do. With a true vintage look and feel.” and I couldn’t agree more! I’ve worn these jeans all day and they have the perfect amount of stretch, but don’t stretch out throughout the day. They also fit perfectly. I love the super high-rise, but these also come in a mid-rise. I wear a size 29 (Equivalent of a size 8) for reference!

I discovered these jeans at the beginning of college and I wear them all the time. I have two pairs of the light wash that I will link below, and I wear them constantly. I also love how affordable American Eagle denim is. Once again I love the super high waisted fit, and I wear a size 6 for reference!

My Summer Home Decor Favorites

Happy Saturday everyone!

As summer has officially begun, I have been searching the internet for home decor pieces that could refresh my space for the warmer months. My style has evolved to be a mixture of Mid-Century Modern, Bohemian, and Traditional Glam. Usually I gravitate towards neutral colors, mixed metals, and wood tones.

Since summer is the time when we see brighter colors, patterns, and a variety of textures, this is what I love to add to a space for the season. All the items that I’ll be sharing today have those brighter colors, patterns, and textures that I love for summer!

My July 4th Outfit Ideas

Welcome back friends!

As July 4th is one week from today, I wanted to share a few outfit ideas for the occasion with you all. I have put together three outfits that one could wear to any July 4th party or cookout. Or if you’re like me, you’ll be celebrating at work on Wednesday!

Outfit #1: Banana Republic Outlet Top $6.00, American Eagle Jeans $19.99 (60% Off!), and Target Sandals $15.99

This outfit is the most casual to me. I think this type of look would be perfect for any cookout or outdoor party! Plus, I wear these jeans literally every single day, and they are currently on a super sale for $19.99!!

IMG_5734IMG_5726IMG_5738IMG_5731

Outfit #2: Mailey Rose T-Shirt $39.00, Old Navy Denim Skirt $29.99 (Currently Out Of Stock), Target Sandals $15.99

I just recently discovered Mailey Rose and they have the cutest things like this T-Shirt. I love that there is a pop of red so that I can have red, white, and blue in my look. With my skin tone, hair color, and eye color I’m usually drawn to blues more than reds, so I love the pop that the cherries give on this tee!

IMG_5762IMG_5794IMG_5753

Outfit #3: Gap Flutter Sleeve Dress $49.95, Target Sandals $15.99

This dress from Gap is one of the softest pieces that I own. This is what I will most likely be wearing to work on the Fourth of July. I love that this piece can be dressed up or down, and how comfortable it is!

I hope that you all got some outfit inspiration for all of your patriotic festivities this upcoming week! Let me know what you’ll be wearing for July 4th in the comments below!

My Summer Makeup Routine

Happy Saturday everyone!

Today I’m going to be sharing how I achieve my summer makeup look, or my “No Makeup” makeup look. This whole process takes about 15 minutes and is perfect for days when you’re running errands, headed to work, or even out with friends for a summer night!

I love that this makeup look is extremely versatile, and can be achieved using very affordable products. Almost all of the products that I use can be found at your local Walmart, Kroger, or drugstore which means that they are perfect for anyone’s budget!

Step 1: Foundation – Wet N Wild Photofocus Foundation $5.99

I love this foundation for the summer because it’s a build-able formula. During these warmer months I will use a very thin layer, just enough to even out my skin tone.

Step 2: Concealer – Tarte Shape Tape Concealer $27.00

This concealer is a must-have for any time of the year. I use the shade “Fair”. This product covers up dark circles, highlights the high points of the face, and lasts all day long.

Step 3: Setting Powder – RCMA No Color Powder $12.00

This is my favorite setting powder of all time! I love it because it is so affordable, but it also leaves the skin with a natural matte finish. This finish is perfect for my oily skin, especially when it’s hot outside!

Step #4: Eyeshadow – Jaclyn Hill Palette $38.00

For my summer eye look I use the shades: “Silk Creme” as the first transition shade, “Butter” as another transition shade, “Pooter” as the shade to deepen my outer v, and “Beam” to highlight the brow bone and inner corner.

Step #5: Bronzer – Wet N Wild Color Icon Bronzer $3.99

This is the one product that I actually use more of during the summer months. I use the shade “Ticket to Brazil” and it warms up the skin wonderfully!

Step #5 Highlight – Ofra Cosmetics Rodeo Drive Highlighter $29.00

This is a great highlighter at any time of year, but especially in the summer because of it’s golden reflect on the skin. It’s super smooth and buttery. I will also sometimes use this product as an all over the lid shade on my eyes!

Step #6 Blush – Flower Beauty Flower Pots Powder Blush $9.99

This is a great summer blush because it gives a light wash of color to the cheeks. I love the shade “Sweet Pea” and I apply a very thin layer to the cheeks.

Step #7 Mascara – Benefit Rollerlash $24.00

This is the mascara that I use all year round. It is my holy grail product and I truly don’t believe that I could live without it. I curl my eyelashes before applying this product and then apply 2 to 3 layers depending on how my eyelashes are cooperating that day.

Step #8 Setting Spray – Milani Make It Last Setting Spray $9.99

I love this setting spray so much and I can’t believe that it’s so affordable. This product helps to keep my oiliness at bay, while also extending the life of my makeup. There is a noticeable difference in my makeup when I use this spray. Not only does it make my makeup last longer, but it also helps all of my face products melt into the skin and look more natural.

This is the finished makeup look that I have been doing! I love it and I hope that all of you have found some products that you want to try during these warm months.

In the comments below please tell me how you change your beauty routine for the summer! I would love to get some tips and tricks from all of you!
