My New Lifestyle and Beauty Favorites

Happy Sunday friends!

Today I’m going to be sharing some recent favorites of mine. This past week I realized that there are some products that I have been using religiously over the past few months. Not only are there beauty favorites, but there are some lifestyle favs thrown in here as well.  Some of these I’ve known about and used for awhile, and some are recent discoveries. I can’t wait to share these with you!

Bite Beauty Matte Crème Lip Crayon in “Glace” $24.00

IMG_6020

This is the lip pencil that I have been using on any day that I’ve wanted to have something more than lip balm on my lips. This lip pencil is super hydrating, long-lasting, and it comes in a ton of colors! Also, it comes in the Sephora birthday gift for 2018!

Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3 $28.00

IMG_6025

From the first use of this product I noticed a difference in the way my hair felt and looked. I noticed that my hair looked healthier, and was more manageable when I used this bond builder. This doesn’t replace hydrating and conditioning hair masks, but it definitely made a difference in the appearance of my hair.

L’oreal Pure-Clay Cleanser in Detox and Brighten $5.31

IMG_6021

This summer I decided to try to add in some more affordable skincare products into my routine. I decided to try this cleanser because the mask version of this is one of my all time holy grails. This cleanser did not disappoint! If you have oily, acne prone skin like I do, I would definitely try to incorporate this cleanser!

Briogeo Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray $20.00

IMG_6023IMG_6024

I’ve been using this spray for the entire summer and it has made the biggest difference in the way my hair responds after washing. As my hair is super fine, it gets knotted and tangled all the time, but especially right after I wash my hair. This product has allowed me to be more gentle with my hair when I’m brushing/combing it!

Crest Noticeably White Whitestrips $15.99

IMG_6027

This is a product that I have used for years! I went through an entire two boxes of these before senior prom, and have used them to prep for special occasions since then. Especially since my discovery of coffee freshman year of college. These are the most basic of the Crest Whitestrips, but they still pack a punch. There is a noticeable difference in your teeth after the first 3-4 treatements in a package of 10!

Cinnamon Spiced Vanilla Candle $24.50

IMG_6016

You guys. This candle is my perfect scent and I hope Bath and Body Works never quits making this. If you love warm scents that remind you of the holidays, this is the scent for you! The notes are: fresh ground cinnamon, sugar crystals, and Tahitian vanilla bean. I also have this scent as a wallflower and it is amazing!

Torani Raspberry Syrup $13.97

IMG_6040

Back in my Baxter’s Coffee days I fell in love with Torani syrups and everything that you can make with them! The raspberry flavor is one of my favorites because it tastes amazing in black and green tea! I also love the Salted Caramel in an iced coffee!

The Republic of Tea British Breakfast $11.25 and Daily Green Tea $10.25

IMG_6030

These are the teas that I love to use with the Torani syrups. They are super flavorful and come with a ton of tea bags! There are also a lot of other flavors. My personal favorite is the Wildberry Plum Green Tea!

Recipes From An Indian Kitchen $14.99

IMG_6036IMG_6037

This cookbook was a birthday present from one of my best friends this year and I’ve already made some of the easier dishes from it! They have all been absolutely delicious and I can’t wait to make more of this food when I have a set schedule, and more time to cook again!

Magnolia Table Cookbook $17.99

IMG_6034IMG_5198

Most of you know that Joanna Gaines can do no wrong in my book, and she definitely stepped up her game with this. I have made so many dishes out of this cookbook and I haven’t even scratched the surface. My favorites are the Coca-Cola Cake and the Chocolate Chip Cookies! If you’re looking for some simple recipes that everyone will love, this is the book for you!

I hope that you all have discovered a new favorite of yours in this post. Be sure to let me know what you’ve been loving this summer in the comments below.

Tempur-Adapt Pillow Review

These products were sent to Miss Sophisticated Chaos for a review. As always these are my honest thoughts and opinions on the products.

With the school year coming back extremely quickly, I am trying to get all aspects of my life in order, including my sleep schedule. This summer my schedule changed weekly, affecting my nighttime routine, and the amount of sleep I could get each night. Because of this, I felt sluggish, foggy, and just plain exhausted most days.

Early this year Tempur-Pedic came out with the new Tempur-Adapt line of pillows. Each pillow in this line is specifically made for a certain sleep position, or body size. Plus, they are currently 25% off!

ProHi Pillow: Designed for side sleepers or larger frames.

ProMid Pillow: Designed for back sleepers or medium frames.

ProLo Pillow: Designed for stomach sleepers or small frames.

IMG_6603IMG_6600

As I’m a smaller frame I have been using the ProLo and the ProMid over this past week, and they have both made a difference in my sleep. I noticed immediately that I slept deeper, for longer, and quit waking up in the middle of the night to re-adjust my position!

IMG_6586IMG_6871

These pillows are also great because they have a 5 year repair or replace warranty, a washable cover, and the Tempur technology that we all know and love. These pillows were actually released to complement the new Tempur-Adapt and Tempur-ProAdapt mattresses. These new mattresses are created with materials that relieve pressure, reduce motion, and give you a deeper, more relaxing sleep every night. I can confirm that these pillows do exactly the same thing for me, as these new and innovative mattresses were made to do.

IMG_6877IMG_6955IMG_6625

These pillows come in a queen or a king size, and the queen fit perfectly in my standard pillow cases. I also loved that the ProMid and ProLo pillows are soft and extra soft. I don’t love a super firm mattress or pillow, so that was great for me!

IMG_6847IMG_6766

Overall, I think these are great investments if you struggle to get consistency in your nightly sleep. Especially since they are designed for specific sleep positions and body sizes, so they can essentially be individualized for everyone. They’re also a great way to easily improve your quality of sleep if you’re not ready to invest in an entirely new sleep system.

Let me know if you’ve tried any Tempur-Pedic products in the comments below!

Travel With Me: Asheville, North Carolina

Happy Sunday everyone!

Today I’m thinking about one of my favorite trips, and places that I have ever been! This past spring break Zach and I went to Asheville, North Carolina and it was an absolute blast. Today I want to share some of my favorite places in the city!

Favilla’s New York Pizza

I think the real reason why we decided to go to Asheville was for this pizza. It is truly the best that I have ever had. Of the four days we were in Asheville, two days worth of lunch and dinner came from this amazing restaurant!

The Asheville Outlets

Zach and I spent an entire morning at these outlets. I love shopping at outlets because you truly can get some awesome deals at the stores. During this trip we went to stores like Gap Factory, Banana Republic Factory, The West Elm Outlet, Starbucks, and the Lindt Chocolate Store.

Downtown Asheville

You could walk around downtown Asheville for hours. There are tons of shops, restaurants, and other activities to occupy an entire day. We went into a lot of shops like the Mast General Store, Voltage Records, and Old North.

IMG_4033

Biltmore Village

Biltmore village was one of my favorite parts of the entire trip! Once again we got to walk around and enjoy all of the shops and restaurants. Two of my favorites were The Gardener’s Cottage and The Well-Bred Bakery and Café.

Hole Doughnuts

These doughnuts are absolutely insane, and are definitely worth the line you will have to stand in! We went back the morning that we left for Kentucky because they are just that good!

Biltmore Estate

On our last day in Asheville we went to see everything that Biltmore had to offer. This was an awesome experience, and I definitely think that everyone should see this estate! We got to explore the house, grounds, and conservatory (My absolute favorite!!). We also ate at one of the cafés that are located on the grounds. If you go to Biltmore, make sure to get the ice cream. You’ll thank me later!

Overall I think that Asheville is a great place to go for absolutely anyone! I already want to go back!

If you’ve been to Asheville, North Carolina before, be sure to let me know what was your favorite aspect of the city!
