2017 Best of Fashion

Hey guys!

Today is day two of my long weekend of favorites! Today I’ll be going through the clothing items that I would not have been able to survive without during 2017!

The reason that I love most of these items is that they can be worn during almost every season. As I’m looking back on these items, and times that I’ve worn them, I’m realizing that I have worn each of these items during at least two seasons of the year.

Clothing:

A New Day Chunky Cowl Neck Sweater $29.99

I truly don’t know what I wore during the fall and winter months before I found these sweaters. This is an extremely flattering, warm, and trendy sweater from Target’s new brand A New Day. I have the sweater in both White and Camel, and would get all of the other colors if they were still in stock at a Kentucky store! I am wearing a size medium for reference. I love wearing these sweaters with leggings and boots like in the photo on the right. This outfit is so cozy, but also makes me look put together.

Black High Waisted Jeans $49.95

black jeans

American Eagle is where I get all of my jeans, and this past August I decided to redo my jean collection. I wanted high waisted jeans, and a variety of washes. At first I was nervous about purchasing black jeans, as I didn’t think I would wear them that often, but I have proven myself wrong! I wear these jeans at least once a week, and they are my most worn pair of my new collection. Above I have them pictured with a Zara sweater that I can guarantee will be in my 2018 Fashion Favorites. Not pictured here, but they are further down in this post, are the booties that I wore with this outfit yesterday!

Black and White Flannel $49.00

This flannel is the perfect transitional piece for my wardrobe. I bought this from Urban Outfitters in the early fall, and have been wearing it ever since. This is a high-low flannel and it is not as thick as most other flannels on the market. I am wearing a size XS for reference! I usually pair this piece with light wash jeans, or my black jeans, and booties!

Cropped Leggings $29.99

leggings

These cropped leggings are what got me through the summer and the fall. They are from Target and they are the best fitting leggings I have ever seen. Also, the have POCKETS! As you can see, I stocked up on these and could wear a new pair every day for a solid 7 days. I usually pair these with a sweatshirt or a T-shirt, but I also wear them with sweaters and tall boots towards the end of the week when I am running out of clothes.

-Short Sleeved Ruffle Top $45.00

This shirt was purchased from Urban Outfitters in the spring of 2017, and was one of my go to tops in the spring and summer. I am a size Medium in this piece. It is a garment dyed top that is a faded green color. My favorite way to wear this in the spring was with jeans and sandals. Once the summer hit, I traded in the jeans for high waisted denim shorts, and I was set!

-Sleeveless Burgundy Lace Top $20.00

I’ve had this top for awhile now and I absolutely love it! I purchased it from TJ Maxx and I can wear this piece during any time of the year. Also, I am a size Small in this top! In the spring and fall I wore this with jeans and sandals. In the summer I wore it with denim shorts, and in the winter I can pair this with jeans, a cardigan, and riding boots or booties!

-3/4 Sleeve Purple Lauren Conrad Top $30.00

This was one of my go to tops during the spring of 2017. I got this piece from Kohl’s and am a size Medium. I could dress this top up with jeans and booties, or dress it down with leggings and white Converse.

Jewelry/Accessories:

The Giving Keys Liza Koshy Choker $45.00

This choker is the one that I’m wearing in the photo with the black and white Urban Outfitters flannel. I purchased this in the fall of 2017, but I have worn it with almost every outfit since I purchased it. It is the perfect layering piece, or to be worn on its own like I have it in the photo. Another cool thing about this necklace is the company that makes it. The Giving Keys is a company based in Los Angeles that employs people transitioning out of homelessness. When you purchase from them, you’re helping someone better themselves, and I think that is worth every penny.

Field and Stream Cabin Socks $12.99

These socks are a new addition to my life, but I am never going back to other socks. These are the softest, thickest, warmest socks you will ever put on your feet. I purchased 6 pairs and am sure that I’ll get more before the winter is over. They are perfect to wear with boots of any kind, or just during a lazy day at home! Also, they are buy one get one FREE at Dick’s Sporting Goods at the moment.

Shoes:

Nike Tanjuns in Black $59.99

Suede Booties in Taupe $29.95

These are the shoes that I wore the most during 2017. The black Nikes are the shoes that I wore almost every single day during the first semester of this school year. They are so comfortable, and go with nearly any outfit.

The Taupe booties I purchased last fall, but I have been wearing them out this year! I love the shade they are, and the texture of the suede adds an interesting texture to any outfit that you wear them with. These shoes are also super comfortable, even to walk to class in!
